Die selbstbewusste Nico liebt ihren Job als Altenpflegerin und ist wegen ihrer lebensbejahenden Art bei allen beliebt. Mit ihrer besten Freundin genießt sie den Berliner Sommer, bis ein rassistisch motivierter Überfall sie aus ihrem Alltag reißt. Nico wird bewusst, dass sie doch nicht so selbstverständlich dazugehört, wie sie immer dachte, und hat mit den Folgen des Überfalls zu kämpfen. Als sie mit Karate-Unterricht beginnt und gleichzeitig die Mazedonierin Ronny trifft, nimmt ihr Leben erneut eine Wendung.
Confident and caring Nico loves her job as a geriatric nurse and is popular with everyone. She enjoys the Berlin summer with her best friend until a racially motivated attack tears her out of her everyday life.
Inspired by their own experiences, director Eline Gehring, DoP Francy Fabritz and lead actress Sara Fazilat wrote the screenplay for this movie and tell a story not only about racism but also about diversity in many different ways.
